Memories is a spec commercial for Venom - energy drink. A clerk dreams of beach vacation at an exotic place. His dream is motivated by a post card on his compuer. He takes a sip of the cold Venom drink on his desk while he is stuck at work during this hot summer day. Refreshed by the drink, he halucinates diving into cold water.
Film tests were done with a Bolex and a plastic tank before renting a hydroflex underwater house for the Arri SRII. The tests where done in the Ocean, while the actual scene for the commercial was shot in an interior pool to have better control over the scenery. The office scene was filmed on 35mm. Ivan Hopkins helped producing the spot, Ian Takahashi was First Assistant camera man, and Andrew Hempy edited the film footage to 30 seconds.
